The AICFB was established with the objective of promoting the game of chess among the visually impaired all over the country. We wish to bring blind chess players in India on par with the best in the world. The aims and objectives of the AICFB are :
- To form state associations in all the states in the country
- To provide playing opportunities to all players all over the country.
- To publish and provide Braille books on chess to help players develop their game.
- To build an audio cassette library which provides information and analysis of chess games.
- To make available computers,relevant software etc.
- To organise seminars and coaching camps.
- To interact with the government and introduce chess as a subject in blind schools.
- To organise local, regional and National level tournaments.
- To send teams to participate in International chess tournaments.
- To affiliate to the International Braille Chess Association and represent India on International fora for blind chess.
- To organise international tournaments,seminars etc.
