Dear Chess Players,
We are happy to inform you that the AICFB West Zone Chess Championship for the Visually Challenged 2024 will be held in Nagpur from 22nd August to 25th August, 2024. This Championship is being jointly organized by All India Chess Federation for the Blind (AICFB), National Federation of the Blind Maharashtra (NFBM Vidarbha Unit Nagpur) and All Marathi Chess Association for the Visually Challenged (AMCAVC). This is a rating Championship. Please note that only selected players are allowed to participate in this championship.
Venue: MLA Hostel, Civil lines, Nagpur, Maharashtra.
All State secretaries and Coordinators have to take care of participants registration on AICFB ChessMitra Portal (https://chessmitra.aicfb.in/) and send their state entries of players to AICFB via mail on or before 31st July, 2024.
Lodging & Boarding will be provided from 22nd August (Morning) to 25th August, (Afternoon) 2024.
AICFB strives to give decent accommodation to all the players and escorts at best effort basis. This is done based on the availability of sponsorships as no money is charged for the said accommodation and food or even the tournaments. AICFB and it’s affiliate bodies try to provide these facilities to try and reduce the challenges of players, however in case of any player or escort needs more comfort, he / she could stay on their own as per their choice.
Escorts are not allowed without prior approval. Escorts accompanying players without permission will have to make their own arrangements for their stay alternatively.
The Final function will be held on 25th August at 12:30 pm for which the attendance of all participants is compulsory.
