AICFB National Women Chess Championship For the Visually Challenged, 2022

Dear Chess Players,

We are happy to inform you that you have been invited to participate in the AICFB National Women Chess Championship for the Visually Challenged 2022, which will be held at Honnavar, Karnataka from 06th May to 08th May, 2022. This Championship is being jointly organized by All India Chess Federation for the Blind (AICFB) and Karnataka State Chess Association for Visually Challenged in association with Rotary Club of Honnavar. Please note that this championship is only for female visually Impaired chess players.


Venue: Dr. Rohit S Bhat Memorial Rotary Park House, Colonel Hill, Honnavar, Karnataka.

Please note that registration is mandatory to all participant on AICFB ChessMitra Portal. Players who have already been registered do not need to register again.

Lodging & Boarding will be provided from 05th May (Evening) to 08th May (Evening), 2022.

All players to show 2nd Dose Vaccination Certificate at the time of reporting. Non-Vaccinated players should carry a copy of their RTPCR COVID-19 negative test report conducted 72 hours prior to their date of competition. Wearing Face masks will be mandatory at all times and strictly follow all COVID-19 guidelines to protect yourself and other players.

Escorts are not allowed without prior approval. Escorts accompanying players without approval have to pay Rs 2,500 as charges for their lodging and boarding or alternately make their own arrangements.

The Final function will be held on 08th May, 2022 evening at 4 pm for which the attendance of all participants is compulsory.

Travel Information:-

If there is no direct train from your place then there are 5 options:

1. Kumta railway station KT (20 km)
2. Murdeahwae railway station  MRDW (26 km)
3. Karwar railway station KAWR (90km)
4. Madgaon junction, Goa MAO(150km)
5. Mangalore junction/ Mangalore central railway station  (180 km)
From all the above places there are frequent trains and busses to reach Honnavar.

Please note that All participants must register their entries on or before 15th April, 2022 through Google Form link given below. After that no entries will be entertained.
