AICFB NATIONAL JUNIOR CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP FOR THE VISUALLY CHALLENGED, 2024
The Event
Dear Chess Players,
We are happy to inform you that the AICFB National Junior Chess Championship for the Visually Challenged 2024 Which will be held at Honnavar from 19th November to 21st November, 2024. This Championship is organized by All India Chess Federation for the Blind and Hosted by Rotary club of Honnavar and Karnataka State Chess Association For Visually Challenged. Please note that only selected players from zonals are allowed to participate in this championship.
Venue: Mayur Eco Beach resort (Shanbag Residency) 1849, NH 66, near ECO BEACH, Kasarkoda, HONNAVAR, Karnataka 581342
Travel Information:-
If there is no direct train from your place then there are 5 options:
1. Kumta railway station KT (20 km)
2. Murdeahwae railway station MRDW (26 km)
3. Karwar railway station KAWR (90km)
4. Madgaon junction, Goa MAO(150km)
5. Mangalore junction/ Mangalore central railway station (180 km).
From all the above places there are frequent trains and busses to reach Honnavar.
All State secretaries and Coordinators have to take care of participants registration on AICFB ChessMitra Portal (https://chessmitra.aicfb.in/)
Lodging & Boarding will be provided from 18th November (Evening) to 21st November (Afternoon), 2024. .
AICFB strives to give decent accommodation to all the players and escorts at best effort basis. This is done based on the availability of sponsorships as no money is charged for the said accommodation and food or even the tournaments. AICFB and its affiliate bodies try to provide these facilities to try and reduce the challenges of players, however in case of any player or escort needs more comfort, he / she could stay on their own as per their choice.
Escorts are not allowed without prior approval. Escorts accompanying players without permission will have to make their own arrangements for their stay alternatively.
The Final function will be held on 21st November at 12 pm for which the attendance of all participants is compulsory.
